Wanted to know who is the third mentor of Business Challenge for MBSS 2021?
We are proudly announcing that we have invited the Founder and Director of award-winning Green Quarter Sdn Bhd - Mr. Nic Chin! Since 2005, Mr. Nic has gained business operations experience from reputable companies in the sustainable building industry. Most notably, Nic was the Director of the Malaysian branch of the Building System and Diagnostics Pte Ltd between November 2016 to March 2017. He was also a component consultant for almost 2 years at the United Nations Development Programme, Building Sector Energy Efficiency Project (BSEEP), having written a guideline for active and passive design.
Mr Nic Chin graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Sunderland, UK. He is a licensed and certified GBI Accredited Facilitator and GreenRE Manager.
Green Quarter has grown to become an award-winning consultancy since 2012. His company won 4 awards in 2020 alone: 2nd Runner Up in ASEAN Energy Awards 2020, Runner Up in National Energy Awards 2020, Honourable Mention of Best New Green Commercial Building for Malaysia Green Building Council’s Leadership in Sustainability Awards, and PAM Award Commendation under commercial low rise category.
In the green business industry, Nic was elected to be a council member in the Malaysia Green Building Council (MalaysiaGBC) since May 2017, where he chairs the promotion and advocation of MGBC's events via media platforms. From January 2020, he was officially invited to join the GreenRE Sdn Bhd technical panel. Finally, he has been volunteering as an EOIP assessor at Nets Printwork Sdn Bhd from October 2019 until today.
